What we collect

When you sign up for an account, no matter whether you are purchasing or not, our website will store the details you have provided. This information will include:

If you supply any further information, such as your address and telephone number, this will also be stored in your account.

When you place an order, the following information you enter will be stored within it:

Please note that no payment information, such as your credit/debit card number, is ever stored within our website or our website platform provider servers. This information is always stored separately by our payment provider (see more details below in our Website Security section).

What we use your information for

We may use your information in the following ways:

  • To process any orders you place and deliver them
  • Where you have given consent, send special offers and promotions
  • To improve and develop our site, products and services
  • Manage and respond to any enquiries or legal claims

Cookies

When you access our website we will use cookies. Cookies are text files that identify your computer to us and help us improve your experience when visiting our website. Two cookies are used within our website:

Name: PHPSESSID
Purpose: This enables the site to recognise the same user clicking from page to page. Without it, every page would be treated as the first visit to the site, and anything added to the shopping basket would be instantly forgotten, making online shopping impossible.
Content: Session ID
Expires: On exit from our website

Name: Session
Purpose: This is for your convenience. It is created with a copy of the initial session ID so that you can be classed as "returning" and the contents of your shopping basket will still be available. If you sign in with an email address and password, these login details are also saved so that you can remain logged in when returning (the password is encrypted). If you sign out then your login details are removed from the cookie.
Content: Session ID (can also contain an email address and encrypted password)
Expires: After 1 year

Cookies cannot read any other information that may be stored on your hard drive, or access any other information about you, or people who may use your computer.

You can adjust the settings on your computer to decline cookies if you wish.

Website Security

Our website is protected by industry leading 256-bit encrypted SSL certification, providing a full site HTTPS experience for our customers who can feel safe in the knowledge that their sensitive data will be protected whilst visiting our website. You can tell when the web page you’re using is secure as the letters 'https' will replace 'http' in the browser address window. You will also notice a padlock either next to your browser address window or at the bottom of your browser window.

We have selected Stripe as our chosen payment provider. As leaders in the payments industry, Stripe use best in class security tools and practices. Audited by PCI-certified auditors Stripe is certified to PCI Service Provider Level 1. This is the most stringent level of certification available in the payments industry.

Social media share buttons on our website only become active and transmit data once they have been clicked by the customer, and at this point they will be using the social media's website. The only data the social media's servers receive from our website is referral information for the page, such as the product title and image. No personal data is transmitted.

The Facebook login feature works in a similar way, and no personal information is transmitted to Facebook. However, once a customer has clicked on the button, any data that is gathered from their Facebook account, such as name and Facebook ID, will be stored within the User Account. This can be deleted if requested.

Third Parties

We will not sell, distribute or lease your personal information to any third parties unless we are required by law to do so.

Controlling your personal information

Under current legislation you have the right to access any information that we hold on you as a customer.

If you have previously agreed to us using your personal information for direct marketing purposes, you may change your mind at any time. You can opt out of this through your account or by contacting us (see Contact Details below). Please note that we may need to request specific information from you to help us confirm your identity.

If you believe that any information we hold about you is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, irrelevant, or misleading, then you can amend this by logging into your account or by contacting us (see Contact Details below).

Your customer account can be deleted by contacting us (see Contact Details below). Please note, if you have placed an order prior to the deletion, your details will still remain on that order. This is due to VAT regulations, which request that we keep all records of VAT transactions for a minimum of six years.

We may change this policy from time to time by updating this page, so you should check it regularly. This policy is effective from 20th September 2021.
